Change of CEO at Softera

Press release

Teemu Nyberg is stepping down as CEO of Softera Oy and will serve in an advisor role supporting the management team until the end of 2025. Softera's board has appointed management-team member Sanna Nurmesniemi as interim CEO, taking on the CEO's duties for the duration of the already-launched recruitment process for a new CEO. The change took effect on Monday 1 September 2025.

Sanna has worked at Softera since 2020, with broad responsibility for developing the company's businesses, including new customer projects on both Softera 360° and Horizon. She has been a member of the management team since 2023, actively involved in strategic development. The decision on the CEO change was made by mutual agreement. The leadership change has no impact on Softera's customer relationships or other operations; work continues as normal.

Teemu Nyberg shares his thoughts on his time as CEO

"My role as Softera's CEO, lasting over 10 years, has now come to an end. I'm grateful for this time to all the company's employees, customers and partners — we have achieved a great deal together. Softera is a company in great shape, part of Banyan Software, one of the fastest-growing groups of software companies in the world. Now, though, I felt it was my time to step aside and make room for new thinking in Softera's leadership. I wish everyone success in work and beyond!"

Sanna Nurmesniemi thanks the board for their trust

"I take on the role with enthusiasm and thank Softera's board for their trust. On behalf of Softera, I warmly thank Teemu for his long-term work at the company. During Teemu's time, Softera has continuously developed and expanded into new industries. It's great to continue the work together with our customers and Softera people."
